The Biostruct laboratory’s role in the complex study of macromolecules and small molecules: a unique infrastructure serving protein science
The Biostruct laboratory provides a unique combined infrastructure for 3D structure determination of macromolecules, small ligands and complexes via X-ray diffraction. The laboratorium possesses a microfocus SuperNova beam source, with a sensitive detector, and enables investigations under liquid nitrogen stream. A Mosquito robot and a Formulatrix UV-VIS Rock Imager hotel enables to overcome the bottleneck in crystal preparation. The Medinprot funding constituted essential contribution to determination of several novel 3D structures.
