Mass Spectrometry Summer School 4-6 July 2016
The focus of the summer school was the introduction of the most important, basic techniques and strategies of protein analysis by mass spectrometry. The workshop was organized at the Institute of Chemistry of ELTE Eötvös Loránd University and was divided in two parts: theoretical course and laboratory practices. The organizer of the summer school was Gitta Schlosser, PhD (MTA-ELTE Research Group of Peptide Chemistry), additional lecturers were Krisztina Ludányi, PhD (Semmelweis University) and Lilla Turiák, PhD (Research Centre for Natural Sciences, Hungarian Academy of Sciences).
Laboratory practices were organized in three different mass spectrometry laboratories in Budapest, to give a practical overview of various MS techniques, such as scan types, fragmentation techniques, chromatographic couplings and sample preparation strategies.
